GATHERING GENTLY IN- AUTUMN DAY RETREAT

Together we gather ourselves gently in

From the outward activity of summer and the reaping of autumns harvest, as we approach the deep sleep of winter, I offer you the opportunity to tend to your own inner landscape.

We can often feel ourselves being pulled out of connection to our sense of self as we juggle the demands of family and work, over exposure to world news, conflict and social media. We find ourselves entangled with digital, black and white systems that are not designed for our full spectrum human organism.

I invite you to drop it all for the day to nourish your body, mind and spirit and come a little closer in to yourself. As we enter into the winter months, it is time so slow down and journey inward.

We will come together in circle around a central altar, created with love and intention for our day. You will be invited to bring one or two personal items to add to the altar so that they can absorb the energies and bring them home with you.

The movement session will be supported by a gorgeous sound track. We will breathe into our bodies, allowing this breath to create movement from within. We cultivate inner awareness & a sense of embodiment. Paradoxically, the more embodied we are, the more able we are to connect with the less dense aspects of our being, our spirit.

There will be invitations to move towards different yoga postures and also the possibiltiy of making it completely your own, depending on what arises in your system. We learn to listen to what our bodies need from moment to moment.

Whether you are a complete beginer or experienced yogi, it is my intention to help you find ways of softening into your own body and welcoming yourself home. We let go of self-criticism, expectations and comparing ourselves to others and open up to a new found sense of freedom and embodiment.

At around 12:30, we will break for a vegetarian bring and share lunch and enjoy time to chat and connect with each other.

After lunch, I will guide you on a deliciously restful yoga nidra followed by a sound journey transmission with my frame drum, gong, voice and tibetan singing bowls.

For those of you who are new to yoga nidra, this is a guided conscious sleep practice. It is here that your conscious mind subsides, your nervous system is given the opportunity to regulate, the body can heal and the subconscious mind is gently nourished towards wholeness and wellbeing.

Following your deep rest and relaxation, you wil be invited to respond to your experiences through creative drawing and /or writting. You dont need to be ‘good’ at art, in fact it is sometimes better when you’re not! The idea is to stay with your intuition and creative flow to see what wants to come through. The results can often be quite surprising. All materials are provied.

If you prefer to sit out at any point, you can, there is no obligation and unlimited cups of tea!

We will close with a sharing circle to reflect on our own and each others experiences. It is completely up to you how much you share, if anything.

My intention is that you leave feeling nourished, rested and inspired.
