A powerful day of transformational experiences designed to connect you more deeply to the multiple layers of your, body, mind and spirit. We aim to support you in creating a deeper sense of belonging to yourself and to life in a variety of ways.
Rachel will lead you through her transformational performance and wellbeing practice, ‘Rise to Shine’, at the open and close of the day. Imagine walking away with an easy self-coaching practice that you can use every day to elevate all aspects of your life.
You will be introduced to the idea of internal and external communities. Our bodies are made up of billions of cells that continually communicate, working together to create balance within. When we achieve internal balance, we are more able to confidently and creatively contribute to the balance of our external human communities and the web of life.
We will enjoy Cacao together in a ceremonial way, with song and the placing of our personal intentions into our cups. Cacao is a heart opening medicine, known as the ‘Food of the Gods’. It is one of the most nutritionally dense foods on the planet, rich in antioxidants and minerals, it has energy boosting properties and stimulates the production of happy chemicals in the brain.
Leah’s yoga inspired embodied movement practice is gentle and suitable for all levels, offering you the opportunity to soften into your body and welcome yourself home. Letting go of self-criticism, comparison to others and expectation of what yoga ‘is’, you can open up to a new found sense of freedom in your body. Exploring different postures, you will be invited to notice the sensations that arise within your system from moment to moment and respond in your own way, to make your movements uniquely nourishing for you. We will move to a beautiful soundtrack.
In the spirit of community, we ask that you bring a vegetarian dish to share for lunch and we can all look forward to lovely chats and new connections.
After lunch you will be invited to lie down and rest deeply for a yoga nidra practice followed by an immersive sound meditation with gong, singing bowls and healing voice. Yoga nidra is the art of conscious sleep. You will be guided into a state of deep relaxation, where the conscious mind subsides but awareness remains. The body can restore itself at a cellular level whilst the subconscious is gently stimulated to create new connections. The creative visualisation is designed to deepen your connection to you inner and outer communities. Your rest is then supported by gong, singing bowls and vocal tones, which can reduce stress, remove emotional blockages and stimulate alternative states of consciousness.
Rachel will lead you through the end of day ‘Rise to Shine’ practice and our closing circle gives you the opportunity to share any reflections, so that we can all learn from each-others experiences (This is totally optional, if you are uncomfortable sharing in groups there is no pressure)
A note from Rachel and Leah: We have had the pleasure of knowing each other for over 35 years and absolutely LOVE coming together to share what we do. We have a unique synergy to share with you and are so excited for this collaboration. We promise deeply transformational experiences, rich learning and light-hearted fun.
We have a gift for pulling together beautiful groups of people and look forward to seeing you there!
